This Frankoma Modernist vase by Gerald Smith stands a tall 10.5" high by 8.5" across by 4" wide. It has a curious form, like a saggital (side) view of a man's head, giving the viewer a look-see into his head. It appears to be titled 'Gerald' on its side, along with the date 7-13-02, Zanesville, OH, as shown in the photos. He is glazed in a bright white glaze and finished to a high gloss sheen. This Modernist head figural form is the only iteration of this form produced by Smith. He designed a series of six Nudes, produced by the Frankoma Factory under his direction. It was a limited and numbered series. This vessel is well marked on the base, and side. He is signed by Gerald Smith and bears other marks. He is numbered #32, which indicates he is number 32 in the series, which we believe was limited, but the edition number is unknown. This Modernist vessel is in original studio condition, no apologies.
