This set of Kronheim & Oldenbusch 'K&O' bookends measure 6" high by 4" across by 5" wide. They depict Little Red Riding Hood in her red bonnet and red shoes, reading a book, which is open to the tale of Red Riding Hood, with Little Red Riding Hood on one page and the Big Bad Wolf on the other. This set makes a very charming presentation, very sweet. These are a mixed metal composition, spelter bookends with original polychrome colors as accents. They have a wonderful time worn bronze-like patina, and they weigh in at 5 lbs for the pair. This set of bookends are well marked with the K&O cipher on the backsides as shown in the photos. They date to circa 1930. They are in excellent original condition, with just normal handling wear. These charmingly sweet bookends make a great presentation!
