This very handsome Niloak Arts & Crafts bowl/ashtray stands a demure 1.25" high by 5" in diameter. It has a classic bowl form with a rolled rim. It appears to be Niloak form #102, which is described as a bowl or ashtray, yet there are no depressions for a cigarette, so I am calling it a bowl, and a handsome one at that. This Mission Swirl glazed vessel has gorgeous natural colors, which have a nice color pattern dominated in brown. It is silky smooth to the touch. The natural satin matte finish on this bowl gives this beauty a great fit with any décor. It is well marked with the impressed 1st art mark, dating it to c1910-24, and guaranteed to be vintage Niloak. It is in original factory condition, no apologies.
