This rather rare Haeger vase is listed as shape 276 in the 1939 Haeger catalog. It measures 7.5" high by 5" across by 4" in diameter. It has a classic vase form with a young boy standing on paving stones, clutching to the side of the vessel, peering down into the vase. At first glance, I would have bet money that this was Weller Pottery, but 'au contraire', after searching for months, I came across it in one of my Haeger references, I was 'gobsmacked' as the Brits say! Anyhow, this charming little boy is glazed in a luscious mat ivory/white glaze, which is flawless...he looks as if he has been in a time capsule, sweet, sweet, sweet! Someone loved this little guy, for sure. This vase is unmarked, but noted to be shape #276 and dates to 1939. He is miraculously in original condition, with some no harm factory peppering in the glaze, but no apologies. He will steal your heart, I guarantee it!
