This Rookwood Production vase stands 8" high by 4.25" in diameter. It has a pleasing form, with a wide inset band, which presents acorns and oak leaves in relief. This vessel was designed by Sallie Toohey, who was also a decorator at the Rookwood Pottery. The vase is glazed in a simple brown mat, which thins at the high points, accentuating the design most handsomely. It has a wonderfully masculine feel to it. This vase is well marked and it is dated 1922, shape number 2590. This vase is in factory original condition, no apologies. If you collect Rookwood Pottery, this is a handsome pot.
