This Rookwood Standard Glaze vase stands 4" high by 5.5" in diameter, 2" at the rim. It has a beautiful form with a ruffled rim. It is decorated with what appear to be Persimmon berries and leaves with exacting precision. The glaze colors are gorgeous in deep, rich chocolate brown, with very complementary colors in the decoration. This beauty is well marked and dated with 5 flames for 1891, and a 'W' for white clay. There appear to be initials, that look like 'AL', but we cannot identify the artist. There is no shape number that we can see. This beautiful vessel is in original factory condition, with a couple of minute surface scratches. The shadows in the photos are from camera glare, the glaze finish is very uniform. This vase makes a beautiful presentation!
