This Weller Experimental or Trial-like vase stands 7.25" high by 3.5" in diameter. It has a simple cylinder form, with a good heft to it. It decorated in an unusual manner, having a very detailed outlining, very surface-like carving, akin to tube-lining, but really an outlined presentation. The decoration appears to be peaches, perhaps apples, berries, and leaves with other swirled vegetation, vine-like, in its design. It is glazed in a nice blue under glaze, which is a good contrast to the decoration, dominated in peachy yellow and green with red and lavender berries. This vase has a glossy sheen. It is well marked on the base with its early impressed WELLER block mark in small letters. This vessel is in factory original condition, no apologies. If you collect Weller's trial glazes, or one-of-a-kind pieces, this is a wonderfully interesting and unique example, and it feels great in hand, a solid pot.
